Hi, I’m Erika Moore

Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist

I’m a California-based therapist with over 14 years of experience helping women navigate anxiety, trauma, relationships, and life transitions. I specialize in working with adult women - especially Women of Color - seeking healing, clarity, and deeper self-understanding.

Before starting Moore Therapy, I worked in community mental health as both a Clinical Supervisor and Therapist, supporting children, teens, and adult women facing a wide range of emotional challenges - from depression and anxiety to complex trauma, intimate partner violence, and personality disorders.

My work in community mental health continues to shape my values and approach: authentic, justice-minded, client-centered care that honors your voice and lived experience.

My Therapeutic Approach

Culturally Responsive, Collaborative, and Tailored to You

Therapy with me is a collaborative space rooted in trust, compassion, and cultural humility. I take an eclectic approach, drawing from multiple evidence-based modalities to meet your specific needs and goals.

My therapeutic style incorporates:

  • Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) for managing thoughts and behaviors

  • Humanistic and Client-Centered Therapy to create a warm, affirming space

  • Strength-Based and Empowerment Approaches to highlight resilience

  • Psychodynamic and Family Systems insight for understanding relational patterns and past influences

While I bring clinical expertise, I believe you are the expert of your own life. My goal is to support your healing and growth by walking alongside you - offering care, reflection, and tools for lasting change.

Healing begins with feeling safe. I’m committed to creating a therapeutic space where you feel emotionally held, deeply respected, and free to be your full self - without judgment or pressure. Together, we build a foundation of trust, allowing growth, clarity, and transformation to unfold at your pace.
